Labradorite has a long and deep history. Its shamanic energy and mythological legends come from the Innuit people, who say that the world was only ocean. One day, an Inuit warrior woman, while hunting, saw some strange rocks that shone like stars. They had colors like a rainbow after the rain, so they knew immediately that they were magical and decided to take some pieces to honor their god Kaila. The women tried to extract the pieces with simple tools, without success.
Struggling against the rock, they made their way through the cracks, but nothing happened. After several days, they decided to share their discovery with other women of the tribe. Curious companions tried to break the surface; some with stone hammers, others with bone chisels, but nothing worked. So, together, they planned a trick: they stuck stakes of wet wood into the cracks, so that, with the cold night, the water would turn into ice and reach their goal. And so it happened; triumphant together, the Aurora Borealis burst forth from the cracks and covered the night sky.
Since then, this beautiful stone has been used as a carrier of healing and protection.
